Red Drift Rose is a spreading, long-blooming deciduous shrub with dense blooms of small double-petaled deep red flowers from mid-spring through summer. The glossy dark green foliage has no fall color and can be used as a groundcover. Best grown in full sun and rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils. Excellent disease resistance. Grows 1' to 1.5' tall and 2' to 2.5' wide, with a spacing of 2'. Suitable for USDA Hardiness Zones 4 to 11. Requires medium maintenance, as roses are susceptible to powdery mildew, black spot, rust, and rose rosette, and may require regular fungicide in humid areas. Suitable for use as accents or group plantings, borders, naturalized areas, wildlife gardens, foundation plantings, and containers. Companion plants include Catmint, Hydrangea, and Peony.
