Decathlon 8518840 Family Camping Gear Tent sku-492648971

Decathlon Quechua model 8518840 is a Black, One Size, Unisex waterproof family tent in the Camping Gear category, SKU sku-492648971. It sleeps 4 people in 1 bedroom and weighs 21.6 lbs. The bedroom measures 82.7" x 94.5; the living room measures 53.8 ft² and has a height of 74.8". A basin ground sheet can be folded away in rainy conditions, and pockets sit outside the bedroom.

For pitching, 3 fiberglass poles pass through sleeves and fit into metal pins at the bottom of the flysheet; colored markers identify their positions. The fiberglass poles undergo double quality controls for resistance to breakage. Steel pegs have a diameter of 6 mm.

The ventilated living-room flysheet limits condensation, and its fabric has UPF 30 sun protection; UV rays can still enter through an open door. The tent was tested in a tropical rain laboratory to withstand 200 mm of water per hour per m². Pitching instructions also specify 4 poles and color-coded sleeves.

In wind-tunnel testing, a properly pitched tent with guy ropes deployed remained habitable at wind speed 6, measured at 30 mph.
