A compact, rackable power amp that pairs a high-performance switching power supply with Class-D amplification to achieve 85% efficiency, reducing waste heat and power loss. The DA2240 occupies one rack unit in a 19-inch industrial chassis that’s lightweight yet rugged and designed for straightforward operation. It delivers two 240-watt channels (at 70V and 4Ω) and includes selectable 70-volt and 4, 8, or 16-ohm output switches. Dual-impedance capability lets each channel run independently using either the 4–16Ω or 70V output terminal switches, while balanced inputs and outputs use removable Euroblock connectors for easy wiring. Active cooling is handled by automatic fans to maintain safe temperatures during extended use. Built-in safeguards protect against high temperature, overload, and short circuits, and front-panel LEDs indicate signal, peak clipping, protection status, and power supply condition.
