Prosoco R-Guard Cat 5 is a liquid applied air and water resistive barrier. Comes in a 5 Gallon container. Part of the PROSOCO R-GUARD product family. Developed to prevent the movement of water and air through building envelopes. Features a durable, elastomeric membrane. Adheres to most surfaces. Provides immediate waterproofing. Compatible with most sealants and waterproofing or air barrier components. Formulation is solvent-free. Is isocyanate-free. Complies with all VOC regulations. Self-seals fastener penetrations. Creates a durable, structural, weatherproof membrane. Resists tearing or displacement from wind loads during construction. Maintains effectiveness when exposed to weather during construction. Can be exposed to weather for up to six months without performance compromise. Offers indefinite UV stability in ventilated rain screen applications. Single component for ease of use. Allows for easy roller application in all climates. Bonds and cures in wet weather and on damp substrates. Paintable with most paints after 2 hours. Compatible with most urethane, silicone, and acrylic sealants and coatings. Exhibits no shrinkage. Resists staining. Does not yellow. Breathable, allowing damp surfaces to dry.
