We do NOT recommend using 12V solar panels with Vmp of 18–20V and Voc of 20–24V because under weak sunlight the operating voltage can fall below 18V, causing instability and potential damage. For best results, use panels with Vmp of 30–39V and Voc of 38–46V. Thermal design and protection: the unit generates heat during operation and is housed in an aluminum alloy case for improved heat dissipation. Built-in over-temperature protection will automatically reduce output or shut the inverter down if temperatures become excessive; normal operation can resume once the unit cools. Installation and reliability: install the inverter in a well-ventilated, dry, and cool location away from direct sunlight and rain to maximize longevity.
