Lightweight yet extremely rigid, this monopod is built from 10-layer carbon fiber tubing for high stiffness and reduced vibration. CNC-machined aluminum alloy hardware with an anodized finish increases durability and corrosion resistance while keeping the weight to just 1.1 lb (480g) — ideal for travel and run-and-gun shooting with the JVC Everio GZ-HD620 & GZ-HD620B. Designed for mobility, the five-section twist-lock leg system collapses to 18.5 inches for compact transport and extends to 66.9 inches for elevated perspectives, overhead framing, stable tracking, or long-telephoto work. The monopod’s largest tube measures 1.28-inch in diameter to provide excellent torsional stability, and ergonomic touches include a foam grip and a safety wrist strap. Despite its light construction, the monopod supports up to 26 lb (12 kg). It ships with an interchangeable rubber foot and a steel spike to maintain traction on a variety of surfaces. The mounting platform accepts both 1/4" and 3/8" threads so it works with a wide range of camera gear and accessories. An included premium ball head enhances control and precision: it features a precision CNC-machined aluminum body, 17.6 lb load capacity, fine-tune damping to prevent sudden drops, 360° panning, tilt adjustment and a U-notch for quick vertical orientation. Dual bubble levels and indexed base markings help with fast leveling and repeatable panoramic composition. Used together, the monopod plus ball head achieve a combined load capacity of 30 lb. (13.6 Kg).
