Professional Heavy-Duty 70" Carbon Fiber Monopod/Unipod — Dual-Head Option for Sony Handycam DCR-SR87

Built for demanding shooters, this monopod uses 10-layer carbon fiber tubing to deliver high stiffness, superior vibration damping, and long-term durability. Critical joints and fittings are CNC-machined from aluminum alloy and finished with anodizing for corrosion resistance. Its rugged construction still weighs only 1.1 lb (480g), making it well suited for travel and fast-paced work. Compact for transport yet tall in the field: the leg collapses to 18.5 inches and extends to 66.9 inches, using a 5-section twist-lock system for quick, secure setup on uneven ground or in crowded locations. The design supports overhead framing, steady tracking shots, and long-telephoto use without adding bulk. Despite the light weight, the monopod supports up to 26 lb (12 kg). A 1.28-inch maximum tube diameter provides excellent torsional stability, while a comfortable foam grip and safety wrist strap improve handling. Traction is covered with an interchangeable rubber foot plus a steel spike for softer or slick surfaces. The top platform accepts both 1/4" and 3/8" threads to fit a wide range of gear. Optionally mount the supplied ball head to gain 360° panning, tilt control and a U-notch for fast vertical mounting. The ball head features a 17.6 lb load capacity, a precision CNC-machined aluminum body, fine-tune damping to prevent sudden drops, dual bubble levels for fast leveling and indexed base markings for repeatable panoramas.
