Professor Jared Gardner: Projections Book sku-16658580

Professor Jared Gardner's Projections, sku-16658580, is a hardcover Performing Arts Books title in the Post*45 series. It examines comics and the history of storytelling, from nineteenth-century sequential comics and newspaper strips to comic books, underground comix, graphic novels and webcomics.

Gardner argues that readers help shape comics narratives and relates their techniques to interactive media. The book discusses comics' increased visibility after Art Spiegelman's Maus won the Pulitzer Prize in 1992, including publication by major presses and comics-based films. It mentions Happy Hooligan, Krazy Kat, Crypt Keeper and Mr. Natural.
