The 9.6 lbs (Treats 1200 Gallons) package is SKU sku-1943210510, UPC 695990560599. The salt replaces electrolytes pond fish need to take up oxygen and release carbon dioxide and ammonium.
It helps maintain electrolyte balance, improves gill function, protects against nitrite toxicity and reduces stress. It also temporarily blocks the toxic effects of nitrate and is described as safe and non-toxic for all pond fish. It can be used with API Pond water conditioners, filtration materials, medications and fish foods. Monitor salt levels with a salt level test kit.
For ponds without plants, the dosage may be doubled. Dosage guidance: 4.4 lbs treats 550 gallons; 9.6 lbs treats 1,200 gallons.
