Don L Davis sku-759046901 Urban Church Planting Book

Don L Davis sku-759046901 is a paperback volume of Planting Churches among the City's Poor, listed under Christian Books & Bibles. It is Volume 2 of a two-volume anthology drawing on World Impact's research and dialogue over the past two decades. The collection covers theological, missiological, cultural and anthropological foundations for church planting among disadvantaged urban communities.

World Impact describes more than forty years of inner-city mission work in American cities. Its work began with Bible clubs and children's ministry in the mid-60s to early 70s, shifted toward teen discipleship in the mid-70s to early 80s, then included compassion and justice ministries in the early 80s and Christian gatherings in the mid-to-late 80s.

Since 1990, it has focused on planting indigenous churches intended to govern, support and reproduce themselves, developing urban leaders and participating in global mission among the urban poor. The set contains 2 volumes.
