Pioneer TS-MR1640 6.5-Inch 2-Way Marine Speakers

Built for marine environments, the Pioneer TS-MR1640 6.5-Inch 2-Way speakers combine durable materials with clear audio reproduction. The injection molded polypylene (IMPP) cones give strong mid-bass performance while standing up to salt water, high humidity and extreme heat. A 1-1/8-Inch Poly-Ether Imide dome tweeter with magnetic fluid supplies smooth, detailed high frequencies. Each driver uses an elastomer surround that resists color fading or running to help prolong the speaker's life. The Acrylonitrile-Elastomer Styrene (AES) glass fiber reinforced basket and magnet cover protect the magnetic circuit to preserve performance; the speakers include pure white AES grilles designed to resist yellowing and fading from sunlight and heat. For reliable signal transfer, Gold Tinsel Wire is used along with gold plated wire terminals. Frequency response is 30 Hz to 30 kHz; 91 dB sensitivity.
