The published +/-1C temperature variation is the maximum deviation measured by an NTC sensor in a 1 oz. vial nearest the chamber's geometric center over a 24 hour test period. Controls allow an interior setting from +2 to +8C. The powder-coated handle contains silver ions intended to help reduce germ spread.

Four full-extension, ventilated powder-coated aluminum drawers have perforated bottoms for air circulation and can be removed to transport contents to a lab counter or work station. Visual and audible alarms signal temperatures outside the set range; rear volt-free contacts allow alarm forwarding to an external remote system.

Adjustable-cycle automatic defrost is intended to limit temperature spikes and ice buildup. A pre-installed 1/2" probe hole in the right interior wall accommodates user-provided monitoring equipment. The door alarm sounds after more than 4 minutes ajar and is adjustable from 1-99 minutes. A battery-powered alarm signals power failure, and audible and visual alarms signal sensor failure.
