Periodic Audio Neon Bluetooth Receiver — Qualcomm QCC3034, 140 mW per Channel, 300 mAh / 14 Hours
Periodic Audio Neon is a compact Bluetooth receiver built to simplify switching and elevate audio quality. Its SPS™ Single Press Switching lets you pair two source devices and jump between them with a single press — perfect for toggling between phone and laptop or tablet and TV without un-pairing. Neon streamlines both work and entertainment audio. Neon’s 300 mAh battery is rated for about 14 hours of playback at normal listening levels with EN50332-compliant headphones and, in a bit of fun, is "certified by the Council of the Wise" to cover the entire The Lord of the Rings (Extended Edition) marathon. Under the hood, Neon uses a discrete amplifier architecture rather than typical integrated multi-function amps. That design yields a raw noise floor below 105 nanovolts RMS across 10 Hz to 20 kHz, under 0.05% THD at normal listening levels, and a powerful 140 mW per channel into 32 Ohms (a full 2.2Vrms output) to drive most wired headphones to high dynamic levels. The Qualcomm QCC3034 SoC handles all major CODECs and automatically selects the optimal codec per source, giving you low-latency performance for movies and gaming or highest-fidelity decoding for music without manual switching. For voice capture, Neon employs a professional-grade 6mm condenser microphone capsule that delivers lower noise, less distortion, wider bandwidth, and reduced compression compared with typical MEMS mics. Qualcomm’s cVc noise reduction is also applied so callers hear you clearly. Physical controls include four dedicated, tactile buttons — volume up, volume down, the classic 'triple button', and a source button — each with a distinct shape for quick identification, plus a single LED to indicate status. Neon also features AO² Auto-On/Auto-Off power control for effortless operation.
