The Panamax M8-AV combines uninterrupted battery backup with comprehensive surge protection for home theater and AV systems. Eight battery-powered, surge-protected, transformer-spaced outlets (1,650 Joules) provide continuous battery backup when mains power is lost. In addition, separate full-time surge-protected outlets safeguard equipment that does not require battery backup. Automatic Voltage Regulation stabilizes incoming voltage for optimal performance by completely eliminating brownouts and overvoltages. A Fault Indicator LED illuminates to warn of any wiring problems. The unit includes Ethernet protection ports for phone/modem/DSL/Ethernet protection (combination Ethernet or phone line protection) and 1 pair in/out coax/cable or satellite surge protection wiring; a 3-ft. coax cable is included. For PC integration, the M8-AV allows your home theater PC to communicate with the UPS through USB or serial port; included auto-shutdown software provides surge protection plus battery backup and will safely shut down your home theater PC. Overloads are managed by a resettable circuit breaker. The unit accepts Panamax® add-on data line protection modules (modules sold separately). Finished in gray, it ships with a 6-ft. power cord featuring a right-angle 45° offset plug.
