Product photos use a camera flash to show reflectivity; the tape appears much darker without a high-intensity light source. Oralite is the Oracal Group's new brand name for Reflexite. The thin, flexible sheeting has a printed triangular white-line pattern.

Intended to improve the visibility of police, fire and EMS vehicles to oncoming motorists, it has UV- and solvent-resistant coatings for outdoor use on the sides and rear of tow trucks, trailers, school buses, farm equipment, automobiles and other mobile or industrial equipment. Its pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive is designed for rigid metal substrates.

The tape is weather resistant, maintains reflectivity after impact and has a 5-year warranty. Conspicuity-grade prism material is typically 6 or 7 times more reflective than comparable-colored engineering-grade tape made with glass beads. It meets LS-300C section 3.6.7 and ASTM D4956 and complies with European RoHS directive 2002/95/EC.

The carrier is enclosed-lens retroreflective urethane film, with a paper release liner. Carrier and adhesive thickness is 8 mils; application temperature is 50F to 100F, and core diameter is 3 inches.
