What is Customer Questions & Answers?

Customer Questions & Answers lets registered customers ask product-specific questions and share answers based on their experience. Questions and answers appear after moderation.

Ask about the product itself, especially details another customer may know from using it. For example: Does this camera take good pictures in low light? How long does this laptop battery last while watching movies? Does this computer have noisy cooling fans?

This Black NVX Restored Automotive kit, model nsp46_sdsk2_sdrlr1_kit, sku-5820357360, UPC 671339709331, includes NSP46 4" x 6" N-Series 2-way coaxial car speakers and installation supplies. The speakers are Real Wattage Certified, with 300W peak and 100W RMS ratings per pair. Their power handling is 300 watts peak and 100 watts RMS per pair, or 150 watts peak and 50 watts RMS each.

They have 4-ohm impedance, a 90 to 20000 Hz frequency response and 86 dB sensitivity. Each has a polypropylene cone, Nitrile Butadiene Rubber surround, 20mm silk dome tweeter (3/4"), 1" voice coil and ferrite magnet motor. Top-mount depth is 1.81" and cutout dimensions are 4.01 x 5.90. The speakers are CEA-2031 compliant.

The included SDSK2 sound damping kit contains two 10" x 10" pieces of 90mil material with a precise thickness of 90.55mil (2.3mm), made from 100% butyl rubber and totaling 1.38 square feet. Its aluminum backing has peel-and-stick adhesive with a four-step application.

The damping material is described as reducing road noise, vibrations, rattles and heat while improving SPL, output and midbass; it is also described as up to 30% thicker than leading competitors. An SDRLR2 roller helps press the material into place, reduce air bubbles and improve adhesion. It has a 2" solid rubber roller with squared edges, a contoured handle and plastic construction.

The soft rubber is intended not to scratch surfaces. Roller dimensions are 4.8 x 3.5 cm / 1.89" x 1.38"; handle dimensions are 13.3 x 2.7 cm / 5.24" x 1.06"; total length is 18.5 cm / 7.28". The FRING46 kit supplies a pair of self-adhesive, waterproof automotive-grade high-density foam speaker ring baffles.

They are intended to seal the speakers, limit front/rear wave cancellation and panel vibration, improve midbass and stop rattles. The foam and base pad are each 1" thick. A five-piece Belva BTK105 nylon pry and chisel tool kit is included for removing dash, trim, door panels and emblems during audio installation.

The listing describes these components as sold by an authorized internet dealer with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty.
