The Black NOCO NLX31 is a 12V dual-purpose lithium iron phosphate battery listed under Noco. It combines starter power with deep-cycle capacity, fits Group 31 configurations and is lighter and more powerful than lead-acid batteries. Peak starting power is 1,600 amps, twice that of lead-acid batteries; continuous discharge is 200 amps.

Its 120 amp-hour capacity maintains steady power and voltage, with twice the usable capacity of traditional lead-acid batteries. Quad-post connections support series or parallel setups of up to 4 batteries, with threaded, SAE and button-head terminal options. The dynamic BMS balances cells in both directions and protects against overcharge, overdischarge and short circuits.

It monitors temperature continuously without requiring resets. A full recharge takes 2.4 hours at a 50 amp charge current, stated as 2X faster than lead-acid. The engineered plastic shell has a honeycomb lattice structure and an IP65 rating for resistance to vibration, water ingress and dirt.

Rated life is 2,000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge, 4,000 at 80% and 6,000 at 50%; the stated battery life is 20X that of lead-acid. The box contains the NLX31 12V 120Ah battery, a handle, hex key, protective terminal insulators, (2) SAE posts, (2) 3/8-inch threaded posts, (2) 5/16-inch threaded posts and (2) button-head bolts. It is designed in the USA and has a five-year warranty.
