The Nikon COOLPIX P950 is a super-telephoto bridge camera that combines a 16MP 1/2.3" BSI CMOS sensor with Nikon's EXPEED image processor to produce detailed stills and smooth video. It records UHD 4K30 and Full HD 60p video, and the sensor's BSI design helps reduce noise across the ISO 100-6400 range. Optical performance centers on a NIKKOR 83x optical zoom lens covering a 24-2000mm (35mm equivalent) range; using Dynamic Fine Zoom extends reach to the equivalent of 166x for even more distant subjects. The lens offers a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture at the wide end, and Dual Detect Optical Vibration Reduction reduces the effects of camera shake for handheld shooting. Continuous shooting is supported up to 7 fps at full resolution for capturing fast action. Framing and monitoring are handled by a 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 3.2" 921k-dot vari-angle LCD monitor. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable wireless file transfer and remote control via Nikon's SnapBridge app.
