Designed specifically for Nikon cameras with DX-format sensors, the AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G offers a field of view similar to a 50mm lens on a full-frame/FX body, making it a true “normal” lens for everyday shooting. Its bright f/1.8 maximum aperture is ideal for low-light situations, selective focus, street photography and travel or environmental portrait work. Optical and mechanical highlights include an Aspherical Lens Element to reduce coma and other aberrations, plus Nikon’s Super Integrated Coating (SIC) to improve light transmission, color consistency and reduce flare. Autofocus is handled by the Nikon Silent Wave Motor (SWM) for quick, accurate and quiet focusing. A 7-blade diaphragm with a rounded iris helps produce pleasing out-of-focus highlights. The lens also offers close-focusing capability down to one foot. Important: DX lenses are not recommended for use on FX (full-frame) digital or 35mm SLR cameras.
