NanoPi R5S RK3568B2 Mini Router/Dev Board — Dual 2.5G + Gigabit, 2GB/4GB LPDDR4x, 8GB/32GB eMMC, M.2 NVMe, CNC Metal Case, WiFi6
The NanoPi R5S (R5S for short) is an open-source mini development board designed as a compact router platform with triple network ports: one Gigabit and two 2.5G interfaces. It is powered by the Rockchip RK3568B2 processor and is available with 2GB or 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and either 8GB or 32GB eMMC storage. The board can also boot and run from a TF card. Hardware and expansion: the compact motherboard measures only 90x62mm and offers an optional integrated CNC anodized aluminum housing. Storage and expansion options include an M.2 NVME SSD interface plus two USB 3.0 ports. A USB-C port supports PD fast charging so external drives won’t be limited by power. Networking details: the R5S provides one Gigabit Ethernet port directly from the SoC and two 2.5G ports delivered via PCIe. Measured throughput for the SoC-derived Gigabit port is 941Mbps transmit and 941Mbps receive. The two PCIe-backed 2.5G ports achieve 2.10Gbps transmit and 2.30Gbps receive. Software and media: the board supports Android, desktop-style operating systems and Buildroot. It also decodes and plays 4K60p H.265/H.264 and other common video formats, making it suitable for media applications. Use cases: with multi-port networking, NVMe storage support, portable power options and multimedia playback, the NanoPi R5S is well suited for NAS projects, mobile storage/processing for photo and video enthusiasts, custom router builds and other maker or developer explorations.
