MXR RR104C Guitar Accessories Pedal sku-17736454105

The White MXR RR104C Randy Rhoads Special Edition Distortion+ pedal is listed under Guitar Accessories as sku-17736454105, UPC 710137141315. Developed with the Rhoads family, it was made to match the specifications of Rhoads' original Distortion+ pedal.

MXR engineers disassembled that pedal and mapped its components at the family's Musonia School of Music in Los Angeles to recreate its circuit, drive, sustain and smooth clipping. The sound recalls Rhoads' leads on recordings including "Crazy Train" and "Mr Crowley."

The enclosure has a white pinstripe finish based on the V-style guitar Rhoads helped design, which was itself inspired by a jet he flew on while playing with Ozzy Osbourne's band. Output and distortion knobs set the level and amount of drive, and true bypass keeps the effect out of the signal path when disengaged.

The compact pedal has a metal chassis, jacks, footswitch and wear-resistant graphics for regular transport and use. Each unit includes a booklet and a certificate of authenticity connecting it to the Rhoads estate and the original pedal.
