The hands-free step pedal opens the lid, and a patented self-sealing system contains odors whether the lid is open or closed.

It is described as #1 in odor control and as the only infant diaper pail compatible with both Refill Rings and Snap, Seal & Toss Bags. The set includes 1 Step pail, 1 Snap, Seal & Toss bag, 1 starter ring refill and 1 lavender-scented baking soda puck. The pail measures 27 inches high by 12 inches deep.

The Good Housekeeping Institute named it Best Overall Diaper Pail in 2020; The New York Times Wirecutter named it Best Diaper Pail; and Babylist picked it as Best Foot Pedal Diaper Pail of 2024. Munchkin says it will plant a tree for every Step Diaper Pail sold.
