Choose a 300W unit for solar input power of 300W or less, or a 600W unit for input power of 600W or less. The 300W unit supports 24V, 36V, 48V, 60V and 72V output; the 600W unit supports 48V, 60V and 72V. Both default to 48V.
The vehicle's original mains charger can remain connected while solar charging is wired to the battery. Both sources can charge at the same time without backflow into the solar controller. Connect the solar panel through the controller to the battery; the unit cannot directly drive or charge a motor.
Keep it physically separated and properly insulated from the vehicle's motor controller to prevent leakage or interference. Connect the panel to the controller first, then connect the battery without reversing the terminals. Place the panel where it is unobstructed.
