The fluid is formulated for easier cold-weather gear changes, oxidation resistance compared with DEXRON IIE, oil-film stability at high temperatures, and anti-wear, anti-corrosion and anti-foam performance. Density is measured at 20°C (68°F) by ASTM D1298. Viscosity is 33.4 mm²/s at 40°C (104°F) and 7.2 mm²/s at 100°C (212°F), measured by ASTM D445. The viscosity index uses ASTM D2270.
