Engineered to support higher-bandwidth displays, this Monoprice DisplayPort 1.2a cable uses High Bit Rate 2 (HBR2) signaling to deliver up to twice the throughput of DisplayPort 1.1a. It enables PC and HDTV resolutions as high as 4K (3840x2160p) and includes 3D video support. Fully compliant with the DisplayPort 1.2a specification and backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.1/1.1a, the cable handles data rates up to 21.6Gbps. At those speeds it carries uncompressed audio and provides deep color capability at roughly double the performance of the previous DisplayPort specification.
