Features a polyurethane backing film and a multi-layered absorbent foam pad for effective absorption and retention of exudates, maintaining a moist wound environment. The self-adherent dressing has a Safetac layer that seals the wound edges, preventing exudates from leaking onto the surrounding skin and minimizing the risk of maceration. The Safetac layer ensures the dressing can be changed without damaging the wound or surrounding skin, or exposing the patient to additional pain. Provides effective, sustained release of silver for antimicrobial properties. Self-adherent design requires no secondary fixation. Shower-proof and may be used under compression bandages. May remain in place for several days depending on the condition of the wound and can be lifted and adjusted without losing its adherent properties. Has a low potential for skin irritation or allergy.
