It requires vertical installation, and it is designed to be used in clear pure water only, even an small amount of sand diluted in the water will damage it, please make sure your water is clear before you install it. This pump model features a built in check valve, however this check valve is only used to prevent water from going back in the pump and causing backspin of the impellers, but if you are going to use the pump in a pressure system, you need to use at least one external check valve in the pipe, the valve in the pump won't fulfill that function. Please note that when this product is in operation, the pump body should be completely immersed in water to avoid burning the machine. Please pay attention to the precautions on the label of this product. Please allow the slight color difference caused by the shooting light and 1-3cm error due to manual measurement, and make sure you do not mind before ordering.
