Compact yet powerful, the MINISFORUM X1-255 is built around the AMD Ryzen 7 255 (8C/16T) processor and is equipped with 64GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD to handle image editing, web browsing, light gaming, video playback, programming and everyday tasks with ease. For external PCIe expansion it includes an OCulink port — OCulink is a standard for externally connecting PCI Express and provides PCIe4.0 x4=64G bandwidth, allowing connection of an external GPU with higher throughput than Thunderbolt 4/USB4. Note: Non-hot-swappable — OCulink requires one M.2 2280 PCIe4.0 SSD slot. Networking options cover both wired and wireless needs: a 2.5G LAN port for high-speed Ethernet plus Wi-Fi 7 and BT5.4 for modern wireless connectivity, enabling use cases like software routers (OpenWRT / DD-WRT / Tomato), firewalls, NAT and network isolation. Thermal design features large vents along the sides and bottom to create a three-dimensional airflow path (cold air drawn from the bottom, hot air expelled from the rear sides). The base also incorporates an active cooler for memory and SSD to keep components running at full speed and prevent thermal throttling. Audio and communication are supported by dual digital microphones with intelligent noise reduction and an integrated speaker, improving voice clarity for video conferences, online classes and voice creation.
