Michelin 14749 Tires by Vehicle | sku-875531714 Snow

The Michelin X-Ice Snow is a 255/45R19/XL 104H winter tire listed under Tires by Vehicle. Model 14749 has SKU sku-875531714, UPC 086699147493 and color designation Other. It is designed to retain snow and ice performance over multiple seasons, with snow braking and handling, ice grip, and resistance to aquaplaning.

Michelin says it is an industry leader in ice braking and that the X-Ice Snow brakes up to 2.7 m shorter than a leading competitor. Its next-generation V-shaped directional tread has optimized blocks for ice, a high void ratio for deep-snow traction and the evacuation of snow, slush and water, and variable-thickness sipes for stability.

Interlocking, full-depth sipes support tread-block stability and even wear. On ice, the tread extracts and evacuates water to improve contact; in snow, snow held in the sipes increases snow-to-snow contact for grip, handling and braking. Michelin says the tire lasts up to 1 additional winter compared with the average of leading competitors.
