Michelin 21093 CrossClimate2 Tires by Vehicle sku-312194728

The Michelin CrossClimate2, model 21093, is a 215/65R17 99H all-season tire listed under Tires by Vehicle in the color category Other (sku-312194728; UPC 086699210937). Michelin describes it as its most advanced and versatile passenger tire in more than two decades and says its tread compound and directional design provide year-round performance, including when the tire is worn. Its predecessor, the CrossClimate+, received top scores in Consumer Reports' November 2019 performance all-season tire test and was ranked most recommended in TireRack.com consumer ratings for the Grand Touring All-Season category. In the cited wet-stopping test from 50 mph, a worn CrossClimate2 stopped more than 50 feet sooner than the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady. Michelin also reports that it stopped while four leading competitors were still traveling at 24 mph or more. In dry testing, it stopped up to 16 feet sooner than four leading competitors. The tire has a 3-peak mountain snowflake rating; Michelin reports up to 31% better snow traction when worn than four leading all-season competitors. Michelin says real-road testing found it lasted up to one year longer, or more than 15,000 miles based on the U.S. Department of Transportation average of 13,500 miles per driver annually. The company reports 11–23% longer wear than the Continental CrossContact LX25 and PureContact LS, Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady and Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack. The directional V-formation tread and 3D-SipeLock design distribute forces for wear and grip while supporting rain and snow traction and dry handling. Michelin says its PIANO Noise Reduction Tuning uses tread-block angles to reduce harmonic road noise. Its internal tests found noise levels as quiet as or quieter than the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady and Bridgestone QuietTrack. The source describes the CrossClimate2 as the first tire of its kind to combine these seasonal performance and treadwear results.
