Michelin Cross Climate2 A/W Tire Other sku-560123139

Michelin Cross Climate2 A/W is a tire listed under Tires by Vehicle in the color category Other. The source identifies it as a CrossClimate 2 all-season passenger tire in size 215/50R18 92V. SKU sku-560123139; UPC 086699746122. Its directional V-formation tread and rubber compound are designed for wet and snow traction, dry handling and long wear. The tread has a 3-peak mountain snowflake rating.

In the cited comparisons, a worn CrossClimate 2 stopped more than 50 feet shorter than a Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady from 50 mph on wet pavement; four leading competitors were still traveling at least 24 mph when it stopped. On dry pavement, it stopped up to 16 feet shorter than four leading competitors.

When worn, it delivered up to 31% better snow traction than four leading all-season competitors. Michelin says it provides up to one additional year of wear, or more than 15,000 miles using the U.S. Department of Transportation average of 13,500 miles per driver annually.

In comparisons with Continental CrossContact LX25 and PureContact LS, Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady and Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack, it lasted 11 to 23% longer. The earlier CrossClimate+ received top scores in Consumer Reports' November 2019 performance all-season tire test and was rated most recommended in TireRack.com's Grand Touring All-Season consumer ratings.

Michelin says its V-formation and 3D-SipeLock tread distribute forces for wear and dry grip. PIANO Noise Reduction Tuning is intended to reduce road noise; Michelin's internal tests found it as quiet as or quieter than the compared Goodyear and Bridgestone tires. The directional tread provides an installation cue, and periodic front-to-back rotations support even wear.
