Martin Hägglund Radical Atheism sku-10074977 Hardcover

In Radical Atheism: Derrida and the Time of Life, part of the Meridian: Crossing Aesthetics series, Martin Hägglund argues against the idea of an ethical or religious turn in Jacques Derrida’s thinking. He reads radical atheism throughout Derrida’s work, starting with Derrida’s account of time and tracing its implications for identity, ethics, religion and political emancipation.

Hägglund challenges other interpreters and develops Derrida’s arguments about life and death, good and evil, self and other. The hardcover also examines time and desire, sovereignty and democracy. Listed under Religion & Religious Studies Books as sku-10074977.
