This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock many compatible PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct operation. The ROM chip or its data must be moved to the replacement board or reprogrammed onto it. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, a local computer technician can typically transplant the chip. For customers with purchases of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transferring the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
