Wekiva Foliage Red Palm Sun Exposure sku-12027713721

Wekiva Foliage offers this Red Areca vestiaria maroon crownshaft palm as a live plant in a 4 Inch grower's pot, listed under Sun Exposure. Forms range from clumping plants with red crownshafts and maroon leaves to single-trunked plants with orange coloring and green leaves. Reports link greater color to higher elevations; observations in cultivation suggest the maroon form suckers more readily.

Clumps can reach 15 ft/4.5m wide and 20-25 ft/6-8m tall. Aerial or stilt roots may emerge from trunks about 3-4in/7-10cm in diameter. The palm tolerates occasional low temperatures but may not survive persistent cool weather; the source notes survival only until January in some Southern California winters and suggests it might withstand near-freezing nights when days stay warm.
