Makita LIVE-5957 XDS01Z Multicolor Saw sku-454629133

The Makita LIVE-5957 is a Multicolor cordless cut-out saw listed as size 0 and SKU sku-454629133, UPC 088381826877. Its 18-volt variable-speed motor runs from 0 to 6,000 strokes per minute. The saw cuts openings in installed board with adjustable blade depth up to 1 3/16 inches, or 9/16 inches in wood.

With a 4.0 Ah battery, it can cut up to 984 feet of 0.5 inch drywall on one charge; the battery is not included. A short 0.25 inch stroke and adjustable depth help limit damage to material behind the cut. A clear dust box collects debris, and the swiveling dust port connects to a vacuum hose.

Dual LED lights with afterglow illuminate the work area, while a non-marring plastic base cover protects drywall from the metal base. The saw also has a variable-speed trigger, an onboard blade cover that protects the blade and work surface, and an attached blade wrench for blade changes. Star Protection Computer Controls guard against overloading, over-discharging and overheating.

The battery and charger are sold separately. Dimensions are 3.5 x 11.3 x 9.8 inches; weight is 4.2 pounds. It has a 3-year manufacturer warranty. The source identifies the saw as model XDS01Z.
