Its alloy frame holds 2 stainless steel rollers, described as 6" x 1.5" in diameter. The crankshaft turns in either direction, and the roller design can also be used with a power drill. Stainless steel eccentric adjusters set the gap at both ends for a uniform crush.
The 6" long gap has a fixed primary setting of 0.060" and an adjustable secondary setting of 0-0.065". Average throughput is 8 lbs per minute. The rollers have a 12 TPI knurl designed to pull grain through while leaving hulls intact for a filter bed during sparging.
