Liquid Rubber 22602 Black Exterior Paint, 5 gal coating

Liquid Rubber 22602 is a Black, 5 gal Exterior Paint and waterproof coating, UPC 628421226023. The water-based formula contains no solvents or VOCs and has no harmful odors. It is described as safe for people and pets and suitable for indoor or outdoor use without special breathing equipment. Its UV-stable membrane has over 1000% elongation.

Apply another coat once the surface is dry to the touch and nothing underneath is wet; tackiness is acceptable. Heavy coats generally need 12-24 hours between applications. Coverage depends on surface roughness, and the instructions say to use all the material to form the membrane. Avoid hot, direct sunlight while applying it and remove painter's tape while the coating is wet.

The membrane can turn brown where water ponds because of surfactants; the discoloration dissipates as the water cycles. Clean skin with soap and water or mineral, as stated in the supplied instructions.
