It shields your lens from bumps and surface scratches to help preserve its resale value, while also disrupting the lens outline to make it less conspicuous to wildlife. The cover includes an optional removable piece for use when the lens is zoomed out to 70mm; this extension fastens and detaches quickly with a Velcro attachment, as shown in the photos.
