These functions can adjust vehicle settings and enable or disable available features. All-systems diagnostics cover available engine, transmission, body, brake, chassis, power train, fuel and lighting systems, with code reading and clearing, live-data graphs, freeze frames, actuation tests and vehicle-specific functions.

The listing also states coverage of 200000+ global vehicles across 150+ brands, including 12V sedans, light-duty trucks, SUVs and minivans, with continuing updates. Protocol support includes OBD1 and OBD2; CAN FD/KWP for GM models from 2020 onward; DOIP for BMW F&G chassis, Volvo models from 2018 onward, and Land Rover and Jaguar models from 2017 onward; and FCA AutoAuth access for compatible Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Fiat and Renault vehicles from 2018 onward.

It works with some OBD1 cars. Optional, separately purchased modules include an endoscope, ADAS equipment, oscilloscope, sensor box, Wi-Fi printer, X-431 TSGUN, X-431 PROG 3 immobilizer and battery tester for further inspection and calibration. Dealers may use these tools for repair work, while DIY users may use them to diagnose and fix vehicle problems.
