The stainless steel digital caliper model 500-196-30 measures from 0 to 6" (0 to 150mm) in 0.0005" (0.01mm) increments. It measures inside, outside, depth and step values, with an LCD that displays inch or metric units. Its advanced onsite sensor (AOS) is an electromagnetic inductive sensor resistant to dirt, oil and water.
The caliper includes a thumb roller, except for 500-500-10,500-501-10,500-502-10, and comes with a protective case and SR44 silver oxide battery. The source also describes micrometer model 293-348-30 as having IP65 protection, an electromagnetic absolute sensor resistant to dirt, oil and water, and improved resistance to environmental conditions that cause false readings.
