(With a friction-type system, I often have to loosen the friction.) Answer:Not with this system, you won't. You can take tight turns on either direction without any difficulties. There is no issue backing up either. You can actually feel the difference when driving in the highways specially down hills. Great system Question 2:Is this surge brake compatible? Answer:Weight distribution does not work well with surge brakes because of the binding effect it does to the receiver. This is an awful weight distribution system that relays on FRICTION to try and control sway. Best thing I did was get rid of this system. Question 3:Will this work on 2003 forest river wildcat? Answer:It will work on any Travel Trailer with a maximum tongue weight of 1,100 LBS. The hitch is awesome. Question 4:Will it work on a 2008 Toyota 4runner . The hitch has nothing to do with the brake controller. The brake controller connects from your trailer the the truck.
