Replace an older double-DIN head unit with the KENWOOD DMX8709S — a short-chassis digital receiver designed for easier installation in more vehicles. It features a 6.75-in. WVGA (800 x 480) capacitive touch screen with electronically adjustable viewing angle and variable color illumination to match your dash lighting. Audio power is rated at 22 watts RMS x 4 channels/50 watts max x 4 channels, and the unit provides 3 pairs of 4-volt preamp outputs for expanding your audio system. Connectivity and playback: Bluetooth® supports audio streaming, hands-free calling and dual-phone connection, plus Music Mix - up to 5 Bluetooth® devices can be paired to the receiver at the same time. Wired Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are supported; USB mirroring for Android™ is included. The USB port handles audio and video playback of multiple formats (WAV, AAC, FLAC, WMA, H.264, WMV, MPEG1/2, MPEG 4, and MKV) and also supplies 1.5-amp charging. A micro HDMI® (Type D) input supports 640 x 480p or 720 x 480p video playback. Camera and video I/O: There are 3 camera inputs with parking guidelines (requires installation of compatible backup camera) and a rear analog video output for attaching external monitors. Radio and sound tuning include an AM/FM tuner, a 13-band graphic EQ and Digital Time Alignment for precise audio staging. Vehicle integration and expansion: SiriusXM® ready (subscription and tuner sold separately). iDatalink® Maestro® ready for advanced vehicle integration such as climate control and vehicle information. Steering wheel remote control ready (third-party adapter sold separately) and wireless remote control ready (sold separately).
