Upgraded take on the popular KA500, the Kaito KA500L includes a larger solar panel and a greatly increased battery capacity — raised from 600 mAh to 2500 mAh — for longer run time during power outages. Multiple charging and power options are built in: AC USB adapter (not included), built-in rechargeable Lithium battery, hand crank, solar panel, and a dynamo hand crank. An internal generator can recharge the replaceable Lithium battery and also supply power directly to the radio, its flashlight, and the reading lamp. The USB port enables charging the radio from a PC, and when using the hand crank it can be used to power or charge other electronic devices.
