Replace an older double-DIN head unit with the JVC KW-M690BW — a short-chassis, all-digital in-dash receiver designed for easier installs without cutting or modification. It delivers 50-watt maximum x 4 channels output and provides 2.5-volt preamp outputs for connecting speakers and a subwoofer. The 6.8-in. WSVGA (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touchscreen includes gesture control and a customizable GUI for quick access to apps, music, and navigation. Wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® work with both kinds of smartphones, and USB mirroring is supported for Android™ and CarPlay®. Built-in Bluetooth® handles audio streaming and hands-free calling, while onboard Wi‑Fi® enables wireless connectivity. The USB port supports audio/video playback (MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, FLAC, H.264, WMV, MPEG 1/2, MPEG 4, MKV) and also provides 2.1-amp high-current charging. For video and camera support there is 1 RCA video output for an optional rear monitor and 1 rear-view camera input. Radio features include an AM/FM tuner with 24 FM / 12 AM presets. Advanced audio tuning tools: 13-band graphic EQ, 7 preset EQs plus 3 user EQs, time alignment, bass boost, and selectable high-pass/low-pass filters. The unit is steering wheel remote control ready (requires third-party adapter) and wireless remote control ready (sold separately).
