What is Customer Questions & Answers?

Customer Questions & Answers lets registered customers ask product-specific questions and share answers based on their experience. Questions and answers appear after moderation.

Ask about the product itself, especially details another customer may know from using it. For example: Does this camera take good pictures in low light? How long does this laptop battery last while watching movies? Does this computer have noisy cooling fans?

JVC KD-T91MBS is a single-DIN, in-dash powersports and marine AM/FM/CD receiver for Boating, listed as Multicolor and Unisex. It has variable-color illumination, a 2-line display with black text on a white backlit background, English, French, and Spanish menus, a music-sync illumination option, a detachable face panel, and a conformal-coated circuit board for water resistance.

Built-in Bluetooth supports audio streaming and hands-free calling. Smart Voice Assistant compatibility requires a free app on the paired phone; pressing the receiver's assistant key enables voice requests for music, calls, audiobooks, news, weather, smart-home controls, directions, and parking. The title also lists Amazon Alexa. SiriusXM readiness requires a separately sold tuner.

The receiver plays MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, and FLAC files and has 1 USB input with up to 1.5 amp charging plus an aux input. It supports Siri Eyes Free, Android Music, and iPod/iPhone playback over Bluetooth. JVC Streaming DJ connects up to 5 Bluetooth devices simultaneously so users can take turns streaming.

The JVC Remote app controls the receiver's source through smartphone gestures, and a low-battery warning covers paired Bluetooth devices. Pandora Internet Radio and Spotify work with Android and iPhone through USB or Bluetooth, depending on the device. Factory steering-wheel controls require a separately sold third-party adapter; wired remotes are also compatible.

The built-in MOSFET amp delivers 50 watts maximum x 4 channels or 22 watts RMS x 4. Audio controls include a 13-band graphic equalizer with 11 presets, K2 digital sound technology, Time Alignment to delay closer speakers, Space Enhancement for virtual surround using 2 speakers, Sound Response to boost low frequencies lost to compression, Sound Lift to adjust perceived speaker height, and Volume Link EQ to compensate for road noise.

There are 3 pairs of 4-volt preamp outputs for front, rear, and subwoofer connections. The package includes a wiring harness, a microphone with bracket and attached 10 ft cable ending in a right-angle mono 3.5 mm connector, 2 radio-removal tools, and an instruction manual.
