The JVC KD-MR305BTS is a rugged 2.7" LCD digital media receiver designed for demanding environments. It offers Bluetooth connectivity, 2V preouts, rear USB and AUX inputs, rear-view camera readiness, and AM/FM/Weatherband reception. Built to handle exposure to the elements, the unit meets IPX6 waterproof standards—able to withstand jets of water from any direction—so it’s suitable not only for cars but for marine and motorsports use as well. Salt-spray resistance is validated by the ASTM B117 salt spray (salt fog) corrosion test, confirming durability in saltwater conditions. Mechanical durability is assured by passing a 3-axis multi-frequency vibration test to endure sustained vibration. A protective conformal coating shields the receiver’s electronic circuits from moisture and chemical contaminants, creating a barrier against airborne contaminants like salt spray to help prevent corrosion. Illumination is fully customizable: choose from 24 preset colors or create your own by adjusting the intensity of the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) LEDs.
