The blend contains perennial rye, Kentucky bluegrass, and tall fescue to establish a durable, dark-green lawn. Plants develop a waxy leaf coating, similar to an apple’s skin, which helps limit evaporation and protects the blades—giving the blend strong drought resistance. This mix is especially useful on south-facing yards and slopes that dry out quickly from runoff. Best planting windows are mid-August to mid-October or mid-March through mid-May.
