A purpose-built 12" JL Audio subwoofer designed for tight installations and moderate power systems — rated 600 Watt Max. The TW1 offers exceptional shallow-mount capability and very small sealed-enclosure requirements, making it ideal for muscle cars, small cab trucks and other limited-space applications. Advanced motor and suspension design deliver long, linear excursion: the driver supports oversized voice coil and suspension attachments and uses a DMA-optimized motor system to keep motor force consistent across extended strokes. The patented "concentric tube" architecture enables the extremely shallow mounting depth while the patented "floating cone attach method" improves sound quality and reliability. Durable, purpose-made components include an injection-molded, mica-filled polypropylene cone and a rubber surround for long life and consistent performance. The engineered lead-wire system and cast alloy frame with flat edges allow tight driver grouping and improved reliability. A steel mesh grille is included for added protection. Install-friendly features: the frame design minimizes frontal clearance needed for excursion, and the absence of a pole vent permits close mounting to the enclosure rear wall. The TW1 is built for ultra-compact sealed enclosure volumes while still delivering powerful bass from long linear excursion capability.
