Video outputs and multi-monitor limits: The unit provides 2 HDMI outputs — one supporting up to 4K at 30Hz and the other up to 1080P at 60Hz. When extending displays, you can drive up to 8 monitors on Windows systems and up to 6 monitors on Mac OS. Power and setup: The adapter is USB powered (use either the USB-A or USB-C input) so no separate power adapter is needed. It is plug-and-play for quick installation and instant use. Display modes and Mac notes: Supported modes include mirror, extend, rotation, and clamshell. Note that rotation mode is not supported on Mac-based devices. Clamshell mode is supported on M1/M2 Macs but is not supported on Intel-based Macs. Content limitation: This adapter does not support playback of HDCP-protected content.
