The AmScope IN50C-UTP030-WM Microscopes kit pairs an inverted compound microscope with a handheld USB digital inspection microscope. The compound microscope has 2 eyepieces and 5 magnifications from 40X to 500X, with a monocular head, inverted finite optical system, 23mm eyepiece mount, 10X and 25X eyepieces, a triple objective turret, and 4X, 10X and 20X objectives.

Its coarse-focus system leaves the single-layer, stationary 105mm x 118mm oval stage in place while focusing. The inverted layout accommodates slides and liquid samples in a Petri dish. It has a long-working-distance condenser with NA 0.19, a 0.5W transmitted LED, and power from three 1.5V AA batteries.

The digital microscope has 0.3 megapixel resolution and 200X magnification when viewed on a 21" monitor. It connects by USB 2.0, records video at up to 30fps at 640x480, and works with Windows (32/64 bit) XP/Vista/7/8/10, Mac OSX and Linux. You can view, photograph, record and edit images on a computer using the included software.
